Straight Road International was founded in 2010 in Lodi, New Jersey; and moved to South Carolina in 2019 when its founder, Abdalla Straker, relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. Straight Road has been engaged in health and financial literacy initiatives of varying types since its inception. Its founder added educational topics targeting
Straight Road International was founded in 2010 in Lodi, New Jersey; and moved to South Carolina in 2019 when its founder, Abdalla Straker, relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. Straight Road has been engaged in health and financial literacy initiatives of varying types since its inception. Its founder added educational topics targeting older adults when he began his master's degree in Gerontology in 2016 and while on the Deacon Board of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Hackensack, New Jersey where 85% of the population is over 65 years of age. His capstone project toward the completion of his master's degree was titled “Elder Financial Abuse in the State of New Jersey and Strategies to address this Issue through my Church Community”.
